This policy applies to the pharmacyfinder.com.au website and the services we provide through it. It covers visitors who search the directory, people who contact us, and pharmacy owners who claim a listing.

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways including:

Personal Data: When you voluntarily provide it, such as your name, email address, and phone number when using our contact form or claiming a pharmacy listing.

Usage Data: We automatically collect certain information when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and pages viewed. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as your approximate location and device information, which may be shared with Google. We have Google signals turned on, so for visitors signed in to a Google account, Google may link visits across devices and give us grouped reports on interests and demographics. We never see who you are. You can turn this off in your Google ad settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using your browser settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain our website; improve, personalise, and expand our services; understand and analyse usage patterns; communicate with you regarding updates, enquiries, and support; process pharmacy listing claims and verifications; and comply with legal obligations.

Pharmacy listing information displayed on our website is sourced from publicly available data, primarily Google Maps. Pharmacy owners may claim and update their listings with accurate information.

We use cookies necessary for the operation of our website and for analytics through Google Analytics, which helps us understand how visitors use our website. We do not show advertising on our website. With Google signals on, Google may use its own cookies to recognise visitors who are signed in to a Google account, as set out in section 2. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the website may not function as intended if you disable them.

We also keep simple visit statistics ourselves, without cookies. Each browser tab gets a random code that is forgotten when the tab closes. For each visit we record the first page, the website or campaign that sent you, your device type and browser, and your state, which is worked out from your connection when the page loads. We also record which pharmacy pages you open and whether you tap call, directions or website. For a search we record only the type of search and the number of results, not what you typed. We do not store your IP address or your name, and these records are not linked to any form you submit. Google Analytics, described above, is separate from these records.

We work with well established, internationally trusted providers to run our website and services: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Google Analytics (analytics) and Resend (email delivery). These providers have access to your information only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes. Some of them may host or store information outside Australia, including in the United States. If you would prefer we did not hold your personal information, contact us at privacy@pharmacyfinder.com.au and we will action your request in line with the rights set out below.

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, please contact us at privacy@pharmacyfinder.com.au.
